THE HAGUE, The Netherlands -- Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski on Monday (July 28th) visited former security official Johan Tarculovski, who was recently sentenced to 12 years in prison by The Hague war crimes tribunal. Gruevski and Tarculovski discussed an appeal of the sentence for war crimes committed against ethnic Albanians during a raid on the village of Ljuboten in August 2001. Tarculovski's co-defendant, former Macedonian Interior Minister Ljube Boskovski, was acquitted. (Dnevnik - 29/07/08; Makfax, Focus - 28/07/08)
