SKOPJE, Macedonia -- The foreign ministry filed a formal protest with Greece on Monday (May 12th) over the frequent stopping of vehicles belonging to and physical attacks against Macedonian citizens in Greece. The note, handed to Greece's ambassador to Skopje, Alexandra Papadopoulu, described three separate incidents in the past few days. "Such vandal acts not only hinder the freedom of movement of people and goods, which is one of the fundamental principles of the EU, but also indirectly threaten the security and physical integrity of Macedonia's citizens," the foreign ministry said.
