Kosovo government to launch recognition campaign

PRISTINA, Kosovo -- Deputy Prime Minister Hajredin Kuqi said on Sunday (May 11th) the government is preparing to boost lobbying efforts in countries that have not recognised its independence. The campaign, co-ordinated by the foreign ministry, kicks off after June 15th, when the constitution of the young state goes into force.

Separately, Foreign Minister Skender Hyseni called on Panama, Ecuador and Paraguay to decide on recognition. He met with diplomats from the three countries in Vienna on Saturday. (Koha Ditore - 12/05/08; KTV, Telegrafi - 11/05/08)
