Landmines kill military officers in southeast Turkey

ANKARA, Turkey -- A landmine killed three military officers and wounded five in the town of Semdinli in Hakkari province on Tuesday (April 22nd). According to the military, the terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) planted the mine. In its statement, the General Staff announced that a separate mine blast killed another officer and injured two others Monday in the same province, as troops conducted a security operation against the PKK.
