BUCHAREST, Romania -- The main opposition Social Democratic Party (PSD) and the Conservative Party say they plan to sign an alliance protocol Thursday (April 17th). The parties intend to create a common parliamentary group, a common secretary general and a common delegation after the first round of local elections on June 1st. PSD leader Mircea Geoana explained that this will be a true political alliance, not just a temporary move for the elections.
