ATHENS, Greece -- Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis says Greece is leading a principled policy in the Balkans. Speaking on Monday (April 14th) at an international conference in Athens dedicated to foreign policy and defence in the Balkans, she reiterated calls to Macedonia to compromise in the ongoing name dispute with her country. As for Kosovo, she said Athens is considering the issue of recognising its independence but emphasized Kosovo must first strengthen its democratic institutions.
