Greece, Albania hold joint border control operation

ATHENS, Greece -- Greek and Albanian border control services conducted a joint operation last week aimed at combating organised crime and illegal immigration, local media reported on Monday (August 25th). The operation launched on August 20th and covered border regions in western Macedonia, Epirus and southern Albania. They inspected a total of 877 vehicles and more than 2,000 people as part of the operation. (Net, ANA-MPA - 25/08/08)
