Suicide bombing in Turkey injures 12 police officers

ANKARA, Turkey -- A suicide bomber injured 12 police officers in the southern province of Mersin on Tuesday (August 19th). Security forces had received a tip that someone was preparing a car bombing of the Regional Road Directorate. Police say there were 30kg of explosives in the car, which exploded when police officers opened fire on it. The attacker, who died in the blast, remains unidentified.
