ANKARA, Turkey -- US National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley will pay a day-long visit to Turkey on Thursday (July 17th), a week after an armed attack against the US consulate in Istanbul, local media reported. His meetings with President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan are expected to focus on the fight against terrorism, energy security, the latest developments in Iraq and Iran's nuclear programme.
In other news, Turkish troops killed 11 more members of the terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in southeastern provinces near the Iraqi border, Chief of General Staff Yasar Buyukanit announced on Wednesday.
