SARAJEVO, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) -- Republika Srpska (RS) Prime Minister Milorad Dodik accused BiH's state television, BHT, of bias Monday (July 14th) and said RS citizens should not pay taxes for it. He described it as a media organisation with a political rather than a professional code of conduct. Dodik expressed anger over a BHT report about Saturday's memorial services for the Bosnian Serb victims of the 1992-1995 fighting in eastern Bosnia and by BHT reporters' comments on a number of participants carrying Serb military and nationalist flags and pamphlets. In recent years, RS has been commemorating on July 12th the deaths of an estimated 3,500 Bosnian Serb soldiers, while Muslims hold a July 11th ceremony in honour of the estimated 8,000 men and boys killed in the 1995 Srebrenica massacre. The management at BHT says it will review the content of the coverage. (Dnevni Avaz, RTRS, SRNA, Makfax, Tanjug - 14/07/08)
