Nine injured in Istanbul cafe explosion

ANKARA, Turkey -- An explosion injured nine people late Sunday (June 15th) at a cafe in the Buyukcekmece quarter in Istanbul's European section. The blast broke windows and destroyed a car parked nearby. Witnesses tentatively attributed the explosion to a percussion bomb.

In another incident, a bus overturned in Samsun province in northern Turkey early Monday, killing three and injuring 38. The bus fell into a deep ravine. (DHA - 16/06/08; Reuters, CNN Turk, AFP, Anadolu news agency, ITAR-TASS - 15/06/08)
