BELGRADE, Serbia -- The constituent session of Serbia's new parliament will occur on Wednesday (June 11th), according to an announcement Friday from Oliver Dulic, speaker of the previous parliament. On Wednesday, lawmakers will select his successor along with deputy speakers and name members to the various parliamentary committees. The constitutive session's chairman will be the oldest MP, Jovan Krkobabic, president of the Party of United Pensioners of Serbia. The 'For a European Serbia' coalition, led by President Boris Tadic's Democratic Party, which won the May 11th parliamentary elections, will have 102 seats in the new parliament.
